Noor Altawam is an associate in the Orlando office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Her practice focuses primarily on civil litigation matters, where she skillfully handles all stages of litigation, including but not limited to evidence review, pleading preparation, deposition conduct, pre-trial hearings, and both Jury and Non-Jury trials. Additionally, Ms. Altawam is adept at assisting in settlement negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations.
Ms. Altawam's extensive litigation experience in the Public Defender's Office of the Ninth Judicial Circuit helped establish her negotiation skills to a high degree. In this role, she collaborated with various prosecutors on a wide range of charges, from misdemeanors to felonies, showcasing her versatility and adaptability in legal proceedings. As an assistant public defender, Ms. Altawam managed jury trials and argued dispositive motions which allowed her to demonstrate exceptional verbal communication skills while representing clients in weekly hearings.
Ms. Altawam received her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Central Florida. Notably, while attending law school, she had the opportunity to work at the U.S Attorney's Office Middle District of Florida. This experience deepened her understanding of the legal system, and she gained valuable insight into the federal justice system. Additionally, during her time at Stetson Law School, Ms. Altawam was a member of the Student Bar Association and a co-chair of the Stetson Diversity Committee.
She is licensed to practice law in Florida.
She is bilingual and fluent in Arabic as a native speaker.
