Paul Nguyen is an associate in the Denver office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Nguyen represents healthcare providers, physicians, employers, and insurers across Colorado, providing strategic defense counseling from initial claim assessment through trial resolution. He focuses his practice on complex medical malpractice defense, workers' compensation, civil litigation, and estate planning.
An adaptable litigator with multi-faceted advocacy experience, Mr. Nguyen handles all stages of the litigation lifecycle. His practice includes analyzing detailed medical records, performing targeted medical research, drafting dispositive motions, taking and defending fact and expert depositions, and preparing as second-chair trial counsel, supporting core case strategies, examining witnesses, and presenting evidentiary material. He also assists physicians in navigating professional complaints before the Colorado Medical Board.
Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Nguyen served as an associate at various Denver law firms specializing in medical malpractice defense and workers' compensation matters, where he drafted comprehensive case evaluations and negotiated favorable resolutions with opposing counsel. His litigation foundation is further enhanced by two consecutive judicial clerkships within the Minnesota Seventh Judicial District and the Colorado Seventeenth Judicial District, where he drafted judicial orders, conducted extensive legal research, and assisted judges with case management and trial preparations.
Mr. Nguyen earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2020, where he served as Student Director of the Intellectual Property Moot Court and received the Dean's Distinguished Scholarship. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Virginia Tech, bringing advanced financial, accounting, and risk management analytics to his legal framework.
