Paula N. Harris is a partner in the Los Angeles office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. She represents employers, carriers, self-insured companies and servicing agents in every aspect of workers' compensation defense and in the representation of workplace injury cases throughout California. Ms. Harris' practice includes handling subrogation matters to protect client's lien interests and secure recovery; employment practices between workers' compensation matters and other employment laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family Leave Act (FMLA), Fair Labor and Standards Act (FLSA), and others.
Prior to joining QPWB, and for over 15 years, she served as senior vice president of a California law firm specializing in handling workers' compensation defense where she represented matters before the California Workers' Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB), and the California courts including the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of California. In her representation of employers, she defended Petitions alleging Labor Code Section 132a violations before the WCAB.
Ms. Harris received her Juris Doctor from Southwestern University School of Law, New York and Bachelor of Arts from the University of California Los Angeles.
Ms. Harris is licensed to practice law in California and New York and is admitted in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California; U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York; U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit; and the Supreme Court of California. Ms. Harris is a member of the Council on Litigation Management (CLM) and Risk and Management Society (RIMS).
