Payton L. Kuenzli is an associate in the Fort Lauderdale Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., primarily handling civil litigation matters and a full spectrum of insurance defense claims, with an emphasis on motor vehicle liability, general liability, personal injury defense, premises liability, property damage, and wrongful death.
While serving as an Associate for various South Florida law firms, Ms. Kuenzli conducted thorough legal research on case law related to the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and Florida insurance law. She attended property inspections with defense experts and navigated complex first-party claims and personal injury protection cases. Additionally, she drafted answers, affirmative defenses, motions—including Daubert motions to preclude expert testimony—and motions for summary judgment.
After graduating Honors with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Central Florida in 2018, Ms. Kuenzli earned her Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law in 2021. During her time in law school, she enrolled in FIU's Law Study Abroad Program and spent a summer in Seville, Spain. She was a member of the FIU Law World Arbitration & Mediation Review, serving as Executive Editor, and a competing member of the FIU Law Negotiation & Mediation Team. While competing in the INADR Mediation Competition, she won 8th out of 174 Outstanding Attorney/Client Pair and placed Semifinalist out of 58 Teams.
Admitted to practice law in Florida, Ms. Kuenzli has been a member of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers and the Broward County Bar Association.
Notably, in 2023, she was featured in the New York Times (April 16th edition) and the American Lawyer (May edition) as a Lawyers of Distinction, having been both nominated and selected.
