Rachel Kosmos is an associate in the Chicago office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Kosmos brings specialized experience in managing multidistrict litigation and high-volume caseloads from pre-suit investigation through final resolution. She focuses her practice on medical malpractice defense, personal injury, and general liability.
Ms. Kosmos is skilled in medical record analysis, a critical asset she utilizes to evaluate causation, damages, and standard-of-care issues. Her background includes developing comprehensive litigation strategies, drafting dispositive and evidentiary motions, and preparing witnesses for depositions and settlement discussions. Notably, she has a record of independently arguing motions before the court and conducting rigorous legal research regarding medical negligence standards.
Prior to joining QPWB, she gained valuable experience as an associate and law clerk at various Chicago and Atlanta-based firms, where she assisted in trial preparations and supported the management of approximately 250 personal injury matters. Additionally, she served as a legal intern for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), where she assisted in drafting legal decision memoranda related to regulatory expansions for healthcare providers.
In 2025, Ms. Kosmos earned her Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Her academic achievements include being named to the Dean's List and receiving the Leadership, Service & Public Interest Award. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from DePaul University.
