Rachel M. Sposato is a Partner in the Los Angeles Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., where she focuses her practice on professional liability and securities litigation. With a strong background in complex litigation, she represents investment advisors, financial professionals, and corporate clients in a variety of disputes, including high-exposure financial and regulatory matters.
Ms. Sposato has extensive experience handling all stages of litigation, including discovery, depositions, dispositive motions, pleadings, settlement negotiations, and mediations. Prior to joining QPWB, she was a partner at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith, LLP and prior to that, she was an associate at a national law firm where she concentrated on Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 bankruptcies, reorganizations, and complex bankruptcy disputes. She has represented creditors, trustees, and business entities in high-value litigation and commercial disputes.
Beyond her practice, Ms. Sposato has business leadership experience, having served as Director of Business Development and Financial Operations for an on-demand food delivery company in California. This role provided her with firsthand insight into corporate operations, financial structuring, and risk management, an asset she leverages when advising clients in financial and business litigation.
Ms. Sposato is a sought-after thought leader in bankruptcy and financial litigation matters. She has authored and co-authored multiple publications on emerging legal trends, including bankruptcy protection for cannabis businesses and employee rights under Chapter 13. She is also an active member of the community, holding leadership roles within the Los Angeles County Bar Association and serving on the President's Advisory Committee for Women in the Legal Profession.
Earning her Juris Doctor from Western New England University School of Law, Ms. Sposato developed a strong foundation in commercial litigation, bankruptcy law, and regulatory compliance. Prior to law school, she received her Bachelor of Arts from Mount Holyoke College.
Licensed to practice law in California, Massachusetts, and New York, Ms. Sposato is also admitted to multiple federal courts, including the United States District Courts for the Central, Eastern, Northern, and Southern Districts of California, as well as the District of Massachusetts. Additionally, she is licensed to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
