Russell A. Steinberg is an associate in the Orlando office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., with a primary focus on insurance defense. His practice encompasses various facets of civil litigation including personal injury and insurance coverage issues.

Before joining QPWB, Mr. Steinberg gained valuable experience in insurance coverage issues at a national personal injury law firm. In this role, he supervised the drafting of demands and engaged in settlement negotiations with insurance companies, effectively mitigating the need for litigation.

Prior to relocating to Florida, Mr. Steinberg served for 18 years in various legal positions with New York City government agencies. His roles in New York included serving as senior counsel for the New York City Law Department's Tort Division where he was responsible for defending the city and members of the New York City Police Department in tort actions. His responsibilities included preparing and appearing in court for various complex motions and managing cases from inception through disposition.

Mr. Steinberg also worked for the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development where he initiated litigation against building owners, landlords, and managers for housing maintenance code violations. His other roles included assisting with the administration of the city's juvenile detention facilities while at the New York City Administration for Children's Services and the New York City Department of Juvenile Justice along with the investigation and prosecution of employee disciplinary cases for the New York City Department of Buildings.

Mr. Steinberg earned his Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law in 2003, a Master of Public Administration from Baruch College School of Public Affairs in 2014, and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Rochester in 1999.

He is licensed to practice law in Florida, New York, and Pennsylvania (inactive) and is admitted to various federal courts including the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
