Ryan M. Dempsey is a partner in the Farmington Hills Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., where he brings nearly two decades of litigation experience to the firm's national defense platform. He handles a wide range of complex matters, including transportation defense, EVs and lithium-ion batteries, construction defect claims, product liability, toxic torts (including asbestos-related cases), and professional liability disputes. Mr. Dempsey represents clients in cases involving fire and explosion litigation, real estate E&O, premises liability, and medical malpractice defense.
Known for his steady litigation style and deep knowledge of transportation law, Mr. Dempsey spent 18 years representing businesses and insurers at various defense firms in Detroit before joining QPWB. His approach emphasizes practical problem-solving, early case analysis, and a commitment to achieving favorable resolutions.
Beyond his practice, Mr. Dempsey is deeply connected to the basketball community. He has played, officiated, and coached the sport at the high school level and formerly served as a certified NBPA and FIBA basketball agent, representing professional athletes.
In 2002, Mr. Dempsey graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Cleveland State University College of Law in 2005, where he sharpened his focus on litigation and risk management.
Licensed to practice in Michigan and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, Mr. Dempsey is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, Detroit Bar Association, and the De La Salle Pilot Bar Association.
