Ryan J. Schoffelmeer is a partner in the Merrillville Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Schoffelmeer focuses his civil litigation practice on a broad range of matters, including transportation defense, automobile liability, premises liability, labor and employment, wrongful death, and breach of contract. He represents insurance companies, self-insured corporations, and businesses, and regularly handles declaratory judgment actions and interpleaders on behalf of insurance carriers.
Mr. Schoffelmeer earned his Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2013. During law school, he was a participant in the Honors Program and clerked for the Honorable Robert L. Miller Jr. in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in both Finance and Economics from James Madison University - College of Business.
When he's not practicing law, Mr. Schoffelmeer enjoys early mornings watching Liverpool Football Club and tending to his garden. He lives in Valparaiso, Indiana, with his wife and their son. He has been recognized for his work and was named to the 2019 Indiana Super Lawyers® Rising Stars list - an honor awarded to only 2.5 percent of attorneys in the state.
Representative Trial Cases:
- Mr. Schoffelmeer assisted in the representation of a commercial motor carrier Finance that was involved in a forty-car pile-up on an Indiana interstate. He participated in the resolution of the matter through a two-day mediation and the negotiation of favorable settlement terms.
