Sammie N. Borden-Sanford is an associate in the Farmington Hills Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. His practice focuses on insurance defense and landlord-tenant litigation, where he represents clients in court proceedings and settlement conferences, engages in direct negotiation with opposing counsel, and provides strategic legal counsel tailored to each client’s objectives. Mr. Borden-Sanford manages matters from initiation through resolution, delivering practical and results-driven advocacy.

Mr. Borden-Sanford manages a comprehensive caseload of insurance defense matters and independently oversees all phases of litigation, including initial investigation, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation. He regularly conducts in-depth legal research and drafts dispositive motions, discovery responses, pre-trial briefs, and detailed client reports, using statutory and case law analysis to strengthen client positions and advance favorable outcomes.

In addition, Mr. Borden-Sanford has significant experience representing property owners and management companies in a wide range of landlord-tenant proceedings, including non-payment, holdover, and termination actions. He has successfully managed these cases from filing through final disposition and has advised clients on risk management, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution strategies related to property operations.

Mr. Borden-Sanford earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where he was a Dean’s Scholarship recipient and a moot court junior member. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Detroit Mercy and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Michigan State University.

Licensed to practice in the State of Michigan, Mr. Borden-Sanford is admitted before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan.
