Sarah B. Hartig serves as Of Counsel in the Reno office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Hartig is an accomplished litigation attorney with extensive experience defending general liability claims on behalf of individual and commercial clients. With a career spanning over a decade, she is skilled at independently managing all facets of the litigation process in state and federal courts, from inception through resolution, including trial. Her scope of experience handling civil litigation, personal injury defense, premises liability, products liability, and construction claims includes structuring cases, managing discovery, drafting motions and briefs, conducting and defending depositions, representing clients at hearings, taking cases to trial, negotiating settlements, and handling arbitrations and mediations.

Ms. Hartig has navigated a multitude of cases with significant exposure, demonstrating her ability to develop effective defense strategies and manage complex litigation matters. Noteworthy achievements include her role in the defense of subcontractors in a high-stakes construction defect action, with exposure over $25 million, where her meticulous approach resulted in a favorable resolution despite substantial claimed damages. Additionally, her contributions as second-chair in a hospitality defense trial led to a significant reduction in the plaintiff's sought damages.

Managing a diverse caseload, Ms. Hartig routinely oversees more than 30 active litigation files independently, ranging from routine matters to complex catastrophic injury cases. Her practice primarily centers on defending commercial clients in general liability claims across various industries, including motor vehicle accidents, premise liability, security and excessive force claims, trucking, product liability, construction, and wrongful death actions with potential exposure generally $500K or greater.

Ms. Hartig also represents subcontractors and developers in the defense of claims related to construction deficiencies for both residential and commercial construction projects. Her case work specifically involved subrogation, personal injury, and bankruptcy as it related to developer/general contractor clients, and complex class action defense at both the state and federal levels.

Ms. Hartig earned her Juris Doctorate in 2008 from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada Las Vegas and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the same institution.

Licensed to practice law in Nevada, Ms. Hartig is admitted to the Federal District Court for the District of Nevada. She is a past member of the American Inns of Court, Howard D. McKibben Chapter, and served as a Mock Trial Judge for Law Related Education.
