Sarah M. Houseman is a partner in the Cincinnati office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Houseman is an accomplished trial attorney and counselor who brings over two decades of comprehensive civil litigation experience to her practice. She represents insurance carriers, financial institutions, and local, regional, and national corporate clients in insurance defense litigation, commercial litigation, premises liability, general liability, product liability, breach of contract, automotive liability, personal injury defense, wrongful death, and landlord/tenant law matters in state and federal courts.

Throughout her career, Ms. Houseman has managed all phases of high-stakes litigation, from pre-suit evaluation and early risk assessment to trial preparation, appellate practice, and dispute resolution. Her extensive background includes defending insurance carriers in complex property and casualty, bad faith, malpractice, and breach of contract claims, as well as authoring coverage analyses and opinion letters addressing complex policy interpretations.

Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. Houseman practiced with regional defense firms, where she handled complex commercial litigation, national products liability defense for a Fortune 100 enterprise, and nationwide statutory defense for financial institutions facing claims under the FTC Holder Rule, FCRA, and TILA. Her broad litigation background also encompasses real estate disputes, commercial and residential landlord/tenant litigation, and trust and estate disputes. Her record includes securing a unanimous jury verdict as solo defense counsel in a multi-million-dollar trial, representing a local real estate developer in a $65 million multi-use development project, and authoring successful appellate briefs that established precedent-setting reported case law before the Court of Appeals of Kentucky.

Ms. Houseman earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2015, where she served as Articles Editor for Vol. 103 and Staff Editor for Vol. 102 of the Kentucky Law Journal. She received her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, with Honors in Political Science from the University of Kentucky in 2012.

She is licensed to practice law in Kentucky and Ohio. She is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky and the Southern District of Ohio.
