Saverio Longobardo is a senior associate in the Charlotte office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. He manages cases through all stages of the legal process, from initial claim investigation and evaluation through mediation and evidentiary hearings. His practice focuses on workers' compensation defense and appellate practice, representing employers and insurance carriers in complex administrative and civil litigation.
Mr. Longobardo's professional background is characterized by a deep understanding of the North Carolina judicial and administrative systems. He has significant experience litigating workers' compensation matters, including deposing medical experts, arguing administrative hearings, and drafting complex motions and contentions. His expertise extends to appellate advocacy, where he is skilled in preparing records on appeal and drafting principal and reply briefs for the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the Full Commission.
Previously, Mr. Longobardo held distinguished roles within the state's legal infrastructure. He served as Counsel to a Commissioner at the North Carolina Industrial Commission, where he managed hearing dockets and drafted judicial opinions. Additionally, he served as Commission Counsel for the North Carolina Judicial Standards Commission and as a Law Clerk to a Justice of the Supreme Court of North Carolina. This unique experience provides him with an intricate understanding of judicial conduct and administrative decision-making, offering a valuable perspective when navigating regulatory and procedural challenges for his clients.
In 2018, Mr. Longobardo earned his Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where he served on the First Amendment Law Review. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from Wake Forest University.
He is licensed to practice law in North Carolina.
