Sean T. Mims is a partner in the Atlanta office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Mims holds an AV Rating and specializes in guiding corporations and insureds through the entire litigation process, from pre-suit matters to trial and appeals. With a focus on general liability, Mr. Mims handles diverse cases, including personal injury claims, premises liability, transportation issues, insurance coverage disputes, bad faith claims, breach of contract, workers' compensation, employment law, education matters, and business litigation. He has a proven track record in defending hospitals, doctors, and other medical providers against medical malpractice or professional negligence allegations. 

Within the domain of insurance coverage, Mr. Mims excels in analyzing and litigating life, property, and casualty coverage issues. His expertise covers bad faith, employee dishonesty, apportionment, uninsured motorist claims, causation, business interruption, and coverage under commercial and personal policies. Mr. Mims offers insightful coverage opinions for both CGL and personal policies, serving as a representative for insurance companies and managing all facets of insurance defense. 

In general liability, Mr. Mims adeptly addresses construction issues and liability claims, representing clients in the retail and hospitality industry. His experience spans from pre-suit investigations to trials, involving shopping malls, national grocery stores, restaurants, and local retail establishments. When handling transportation matters, Mr. Mims represents clients in motor vehicle accidents and common carrier incidents. His expertise extends to defending insured and insurers, opining on loss coverage, apportionment among multiple carriers, uninsured/underinsured motorist claims, special investigation claims, and varying levels of exposure. 

Mr. Mims is not only a litigator but also an appellate practitioner, having handled appeals in Alabama and Georgia courts. He is licensed to practice law in Georgia and admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia, the U.S. District Court for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Alabama, all courts of the States of Georgia and Alabama, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
