Shaina Yost is an associate in the Orlando Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. She brings over three years of hands-on litigation experience representing clients in high-volume, complex matters, with a strong foundation in courtroom advocacy, legal research, and constitutional law.
Ms. Yost has represented individuals in both misdemeanor and felony proceedings from arrest through resolution, including matters involving DUI, battery, arson, drug-related offenses, and involuntary commitment hearings. She has successfully researched, drafted, and argued substantive motions, including motions to suppress and motions to dismiss, and has participated in trials as both lead and co-counsel. Her experience also includes conducting depositions, negotiating plea agreements, and collaborating closely with colleagues to develop effective case strategies.
Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. Yost gained valuable experience through internships and research roles that strengthened her analytical and writing skills, including drafting pleadings, complaints, and memoranda across a range of legal issues. She also served as a legal research assistant focusing on constitutional, international, and human rights law.
In 2022, Ms. Yost earned her Juris Doctor from Barry University School of Law, where she served on executive boards for student organizations and received the Environmental Law Book Award. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in History from the University of Alabama.
She is a member of The Florida Bar in good standing and is actively involved in professional organizations, including serving as Secretary of the Central Florida Association for Criminal Defense Lawyers.
