Shant R. Sagherian is a partner in the Farmington Hills Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Sagherian concentrates on the defense of liability claims across a wide range of civil litigation areas, including automobile accident defense, Michigan No-Fault (PIP), provider suits, premises liability, UM/UIM claims, coverage litigation, workers’ compensation, and insurance fraud investigations. Mr. Sagherian handles complex matters for commercial clients in the retail and restaurant sectors, often involving high-exposure claims and layered liability issues.
Skillfully working cases that tend to be more complicated, Mr. Sagherian does particularly well at handling disputes involving the Michigan Assigned Claims Plan (MACP), where questions of coverage, priority, and fraudulent activity often intersect. He is known for conducting effective depositions, securing favorable outcomes through alternative dispute resolution, and negotiating dismissals based on strategic litigation tactics. His successful defense record includes obtaining a dismissal in a $50,000 provider claim due to key admissions in deposition and vacating a $225,000 default judgment in a third-party auto negligence case where he proved both good cause and a meritorious defense.
