Sladjana Vuckovic is a senior associate in the Chicago Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. She is a seasoned defense trial attorney with over 25 years of experience representing clients in insurance defense, tort litigation, premises liability, transportation, and motor vehicle liability matters. Ms. Vuckovic has successfully defended transportation companies, insurers, and individual clients through every phase of litigation, and her background includes extensive trial experience in both civil and criminal courts. Her prior work defending individuals charged with traffic violations, DUI, and felony offenses gives her a unique, well-rounded perspective when handling high-stakes civil defense cases.
Throughout her career, Ms. Vuckovic has secured favorable outcomes through jury trials, arbitrations, dispositive motions, and summary judgment. Her litigation acumen has earned her several accolades, including the Client's Choice Award (2018), the Expertise Award for Best Criminal Attorney in Cicero (2021), and the First Defender Award from First Defense Legal Aid (2012). She was also involved in a case of first impression, People v. Aaron Smith, 2022 IL App. (1st) 19069, where she successfully challenged the constitutionality of stop orders used by the Chicago Police, resulting in a landmark appellate decision.
Ms. Vuckovic has first-chair jury trial experience representing both individuals and insurance companies. Her sharp litigation skills and ability to evaluate risk have made her a trusted legal partner for clients facing complex liability exposure. In addition to her trial practice, she has experience with estate matters, including trusts, wills, and estate planning.
Born in the former Yugoslavia and raised on the south side of Chicago, Ms. Vuckovic is bilingual in Serbo-Croatian and English. She earned her Juris Doctor from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois, and her Bachelor of Arts in History and English Literature from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Ms. Vuckovic is admitted to practice in Illinois and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She is actively involved in the legal community and currently volunteers with the Lawyers-Lend-A-Hand Tutoring Program. She also serves on the board of Integrity Media, a nonprofit organization committed to supporting independent journalism and opposing censorship.
