Steven P. Stadler is a partner in the Lexington Office at Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. With over 15 years of experience in all aspects of litigation, his practice focuses on medical malpractice defense and in the representation of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals, and includes general liability and appeals. His practice encompasses the areas of regulatory and corporate compliance, and fraud and abuse.
Before joining QPWB, Mr. Stadler served as assistant director of the Civil Division of the Fayette County Attorney's Office where he was involved in all civil and criminal aspects of the County Attorney's office. He represented and advised elected officials in various capacities including successfully defending against a federal election lawsuit and upholding assessments of multi-million-dollar commercial properties before the Kentucky Claims Commission and the Board of Tax Appeals. Mr. Stadler also prosecuted a diverse caseload of misdemeanor criminal prosecutions from complaint through appeal with a focus on trial tactics, successfully arguing before the Kentucky Supreme Court. Additionally, he served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney, prosecuting high-level federal firearms and narcotics offenders in the Eastern District of Kentucky.
Prior to working at the Fayette County Attorney's Office, Mr. Stadler was an associate attorney with an insurance defense law office in Kentucky. He managed all aspects of civil insurance defense litigation involving bodily injury and property damage lawsuits. He began his career as a Staff Attorney to a McCracken Circuit Court Judge. He is a trained administrative hearing officer and served multiple terms on the Infrastructure Hearing Board.
Mr. Stadler received his Juris Doctor from Cleveland State University College of Law in 2007 and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Notre Dame in 1999.
Licensed to practice law in Kentucky and Ohio, Mr. Stadler is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, and the U.S. Court of Appeals Sixth Circuit.
In his community, he has served on the Boards of the Lexington Dream Factory, A Running Start, and Sunflower Kids.
