Susan Ayers is an associate in the Glendale Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Ayers has represented a wide range of clients including property owners, contractors, and commercial entities in complex litigation and pre-suit resolution. She focuses her practice on civil litigation, with extensive experience handling cases involving real estate disputes, construction defect claims, franchise and business litigation, contract disputes, and insurance defense matters.
With over 20 years of legal experience, Ms. Ayers brings a diverse background that includes serving as in-house counsel, managing her own law practice, and litigating for both private and public sector clients. She has handled every phase of litigation, from pre-suit negotiations and pleadings through trial and post-judgment matters. Her experience includes representing clients in property and casualty cases, franchise disputes, and insurance coverage matters related to commercial property, wind, and flood damage. She has successfully negotiated and settled multimillion-dollar claims involving hurricanes Ian and Irma and is skilled in navigating Civil Remedy Notices, Examinations Under Oath, mediations, and arbitrations.
Before joining QPWB, Ms. Ayers operated her own law firm, representing clients across civil, corporate, and bankruptcy matters, as well as family and probate law. She has also served as Senior Attorney for the State of Florida, representing the Department of Children and Families in complex dependency proceedings and providing counsel on statutory compliance and litigation strategy.
In 2002, Ms. Ayers obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Prior to attending law school, she received a Master of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Information Systems from San Diego State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Communications from Northwestern University.
Licensed to practice law in California and Florida, Ms. Ayers is admitted before the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of California. In addition to her law licenses, she is a licensed real estate broker in Florida and a former broker in California.
Outside of her practice, Ms. Ayers applies her business and real estate background to advise clients on regulatory compliance and contract negotiations. She is passionate about helping clients achieve fair and efficient resolutions to complex legal and business challenges.
