Sydney L. Stankovich is an associate in the Farmington Hills Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Her practice focuses on defense litigation with a particular concentration in employment, premises liability, and bodily injury matters. Ms. Stankovich ensures her clients receive tailored and effective solutions and is known for her sharp analytical approach and detail-oriented mindset.
Admitted to the State of Michigan and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, Ms. Stankovich's experience includes drafting a variety of unique Motions for Summary Disposition. Ms. Stankovich has written and argued before the Court successful motions on Michigan's threshold injury standard, possession and control of a government easement, and proximate causation. In addition, Ms. Stankovich has been responsible for handling all aspects of litigation from pre-suit investigation to trial preparation. Her early background also includes working at a county prosecutor's office, where she managed a full docket from arraignment through sentencing, giving her a well-rounded litigation perspective.
While earning her law degree at Indiana University Maurer School of Law, Ms. Stankovich was honored with the Julia Lamber Award for excellence in client-focused legal work and served as Managing Editor of the Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies. She graduated with over 300 hours of pro bono service. Her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan focused on psychology and crime & justice, where she graduated with distinction.
