Terry L. Kors is a partner in the Tampa office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Kors focuses his practice in civil litigation, specifically in the areas of first and third party insurance disputes, property and casualty claims, bodily injury claims, personal injury protection (PIP), general insurance defense litigation, premises liability, and construction defect. Mr. Kors represents insureds and insurers in routine and complex matters from pre-suit coverage and claim evaluation through trial, including SIU investigations, insurance coverage matters and bad faith claims.
Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Kors was an associate with a Tampa Bay area law office where he handled all aspects of civil defense litigation in all of his current areas of practice. Previously, he was managing attorney of a litigation law firm specializing in insurance defense where for over eight years he represented insureds and insurers in defense of various bodily injury claims and property claims including investigation, defense, and affirmative recovery of fraudulent claims. Before commencing in private practice, Mr. Kors was an assistant public defender with the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida, he handled all aspects of criminal defense practice, negotiation, motion practice and multiple first and second chair trial experience in addition to numerous juvenile bench trials.
Before entering law school, Mr. Kors worked for the Pasco County Health Department as an Environmentalist Specialist. He was responsible for permitting process and regulatory enforcement; he is a former certified food manager, and pool and tanning operator.
Mr. Kors received his Juris Doctor cum laude from Stetson University College of Law, Gulfport, Florida in December 2004, he earned a Master of Public Health from the University of South Florida in December 2000 and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida in June 1995 with a major in zoology.
