Tessa V. Mears is an associate in the Orlando Office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., dedicated to defending insurance matters, including coverage, liability, and property damage claims. Additionally, she handles civil litigation, regulatory compliance, residential and commercial liability, premises liability, and personal injury defense. 

Ms. Mears specializes in residential first-party property insurance, representing a diverse range of insurance carriers throughout Florida in various litigation proceedings. From her early days as a law clerk assisting family law and first-party plaintiff attorneys, she has evolved into providing coverage counsel and advising on matters of coverage, liability, and damages to Certain Underwriters at Lloyd's of London, spanning Florida, Louisiana, and other states, including real property and Equine insurance policy claims. 

In 2020, Ms. Mears earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law. During her time there, she served as Miami Law's Dade County Bar Association President and Executive Editor of the Inter-American Law Review. Prior to law school, she graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Criminology in 2016. 

Ms. Mears is licensed to practice law in Florida.
