Tomiko A. Ortiz, Esq., M.B.A. is an associate in the Los Angeles Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Ortiz practice is focused on the areas of commercial litigation, intellectual property, and corporate law. She represents clients across a wide range of industries in matters involving contract disputes, business torts, corporate governance, and trademark protection. Her experience spans all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation, as well as pre-litigation dispute resolution and settlement negotiations.
In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Ortiz advises businesses on trademark clearance, filing, and enforcement, as well as compliance with domestic and international privacy regulations. She has successfully managed corporate transactions, including entity formation, mergers and acquisitions due diligence, and drafting of complex commercial agreements such as master service agreements, contractor agreements, and non-disclosure agreements. Her background in intellectual property law also includes proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), U.S. and international trademark filings, and enforcement actions to protect brand assets.
Earning her Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law, Ms. Ortiz served as Managing Editor of the Intellectual Property & Technology Law Journal and was recognized with multiple scholarships, including the Kenneth Lloyd, John Scully, and Arthur C. Zief, Jr. School of Law Scholarships. She went on to obtain a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of San Francisco School of Management. Her academic foundation also includes graduating cum laude from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Social Behavior, where she consistently earned recognition on the Dean's List.
