Trevor C.D. Nightingale is an associate in the Chicago office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Nightingale partners with physicians and healthcare providers to navigate high-stakes professional liability claims, leveraging a practical and comprehensive understanding of all phases of the legal process. He focuses his practice on civil litigation, professional liability defense, healthcare litigation, and medical malpractice.
Mr. Nightingale's professional background is defined by more than fifteen years of deep-rooted litigation experience in both state and federal courts. Prior to becoming an attorney, he served as a litigation paralegal for over a decade and later as a law clerk, managing discovery review, case investigations, and the drafting of complex criminal and civil pleadings. This extensive tenure includes significant work in professional liability defense and personal injury, providing him with a tactical advantage in analyzing medical records, supporting depositions, and developing trial strategy.
His experience is further distinguished by his service as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Thomas M. Durkin, Senior United States District Judge for the Northern District of Illinois. During this residency, Mr. Nightingale performed critical legal research and drafted memorandum opinions and orders, gaining firsthand insight into federal court procedures and judicial decision-making.
Mr. Nightingale earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law in 2025, where he ranked in the top 8% of his class. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Purdue University Northwest in 2018.
