Tricia H. Payne is a partner in the Pensacola office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. She practices in the area of general civil litigation with an emphasis on the defense of personal injury matters, including automobile negligence, professional negligence, premises liability and products liability. She also focuses on commercial litigation including coverage matters, contractual disputes, and construction litigation.
Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. Payne was an attorney with a Pensacola law firm practicing in the area of general civil litigation since 2000. Previously, she was an Assistant State Attorney where she sat first chair in over 100 misdemeanor and felony trials. She was also an associate with a Tallahassee law office where her practice focused on legal ethics and professional responsibility.
Ms. Payne received her Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law in 1995 and a Bachelor of Arts, with honors, from Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia in 1992.
Ms. Payne is licensed to practice law in Florida and is a member of The Florida Bar. She is also admitted in the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Northern Districts of Florida. Ms. Payne is a member of the Escambia-Santa Rosa Bar Association and has been involved in the local chapter of American Inns of Court.
Ms. Payne is co-author of a chapter in Florida Legal Ethics, a Florida Bar CLE manual.
