Vanessa E. Garcia is an associate in the New Mexico office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Garcia centers her practice on civil litigation, specializing in general insurance defense, business and commercial disputes, civil rights claims, labor and employment matters, personal injury cases, construction defect claims, and wrongful death actions.
Ms. Garcia is involved in all aspects of the litigation process, including pre-litigation investigation and resolution, pre-trial discovery, motion practice, trial, and post-trial proceedings. Throughout her legal career, she has efficiently managed high-volume caseloads, successfully resolving claims by pursuing pre- and post-litigation resolution, engaging in successful dispositive motion practice, and obtaining positive verdicts following bench and jury trials in administrative bodies and state and federal courts.
Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. Garcia was an associate with national and regional civil defense firms specializing in civil litigation. Ms. Garcia was born and raised in Northern New Mexico and received her Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico School of Law, where she graduated cum laude. While attending law school, Ms. Garcia was on the Honor Roll and Dean's List, and earned prestigious awards, including clinical honors and the Jerrold L. Walden Memorial Award for Excellence in Advocating for Marginalized Groups Within the Legal Community.
Ms. Garcia also has significant trial experience and was recognized by the New Mexico State Bar Association for excellence in trial advocacy.
Ms. Garcia is licensed to practice law in New Mexico. She is also admitted to the U.S. District Court, District of New Mexico.
