Vanessa Merassaint is a partner in the National Products Liability and Toxic Torts Practice Group of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Merassaint is highly regarded for her capabilities in navigating high-stakes liability matters, establishing robust defense strategies that shield the commercial value of institutional products while aggressively safeguarding her clients' long-term reputational and financial objectives. Her practice centers on toxic torts, asbestos litigation, products liability defense, premises liability, and commercial litigation.
With more than a decade of specialized defense experience across multiple prominent Florida-based and national law firms, Ms. Merassaint brings extensive technical skill to cases involving talcum powder exposure, asbestos personal injury claims, and premises liability disputes. She represents a diverse client portfolio within the manufacturing, automotive, and consumer product sectors, guiding businesses through intricate evidentiary discovery, liability exposure reviews, and pre-trial motion practice.
Beyond the courtroom, she is an active legal panelist and advocate for diversity and inclusion initiatives within the national defense bar. She regularly speaks at major industry conferences, addressing complex legal trends in luxury brand cosmetics litigation as well as structural diversity programs within specialized medical and toxic tort defense segments.
Ms. Merassaint earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Florida Coastal School of Law in 2014, where she contributed to academic scholarship as a Staff Editor for the Florida Coastal Law Review. Prior to her legal studies, she completed her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Central Florida in 2011. She is fully fluent in English and Haitian Creole, broadening her client communication capabilities across diverse regional markets.
She is licensed to practice law in Florida and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Florida.
