Veronica M. Veliz is a partner in the Miami office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Veliz focuses her practice in the areas of commercial litigation, general liability, insurance defense with particular emphasis on cases involving first-party coverage claims, automobile liability, property damage, employment practices claims, medical malpractice, and nursing home defense litigation.
Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. Veliz was an attorney with a Miami law office specializing in insurance defense, where she primarily handled property damage claims.
Ms. Veliz received her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law, Coral Gables, Florida, in 2010 and Bachelor of Arts cum laude from Florida State University in 2005, majoring in political science. While in law school, she served as a judicial intern to the Hon. Julio E. Jimenez, Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court of Florida, Criminal Division. She was a founding member of the Effective Firm Management Society, a mentoring program providing advice and education on the business aspects of running a legal practice; she was also a member of Miami Law Women.
Ms. Veliz is licensed to practice law in Florida and she is a member of The Florida Bar.
Ms. Veliz is fluent in Spanish.
