Whitney N. McGrew is an associate in the West Palm Beach Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., where she represents clients in civil litigation, insurance defense, and healthcare-related matters. Ms. McGrew has a deep understanding of healthcare law and insurance litigation, having represented healthcare providers, insurers, and corporate entities in complex legal disputes. She has managed cases from pre-suit investigation through trial preparation, handling pleadings, discovery, depositions, and motion practice.
Before transitioning to civil litigation, Ms. McGrew began her career as an Assistant Public Defender, where she gained invaluable courtroom experience representing clients in jury and non-jury trials. Her background in criminal defense provides her with a unique perspective in high-volume litigation, particularly in cases involving professional liability and catastrophic injury claims.
Beyond her practice, Ms. McGrew is dedicated to public service. She serves as Chairperson for the Third Circuit Unlicensed Practice of Law Committee, investigating and reviewing legal practice concerns within the Florida Bar. She was also a member of the Third Circuit Pro Bono Committee. Her leadership extends beyond her practice, as she previously served as a Town Councilwoman for the Town of Mayo, Florida, where she worked on budget development, municipal policies, and community advocacy.
In 2013, she earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where she was recognized on the Dean's List and was an active member of the Black Law Students Association. Before law school, she graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Business Administration, specializing in Criminology. She also completed her Associate of Arts in Business Administration from Santa Fe College.
