Bo Murphey is a partner in the Chicago office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. He specializes in representing professionals in healthcare, accounting, engineering, real estate, and insurance industries, focusing on claims of professional negligence, and preparing clients for trial or deposition according to subpoena. Additionally, Mr. Murphey handles cases involving premises liability, personal injury, and wrongful death.
With over 15 years of experience, Mr. Murphey independently manages cases from assignment to resolution, including reporting, motion practice, and litigation strategy. He has successfully handled multi-million dollar personal injury and construction defect claims, wrongful death cases, fire losses, catastrophic industrial accidents, and complex litigation involving multinational corporations. Mr. Murphey also mentors less experienced associates, providing guidance on complex hearings and events.
Mr. Murphey has served as lead counsel and second chair during trials, achieving favorable outcomes for his clients. Notably, he led a 5-day trial related to a multi-car motor vehicle accident and breach of contract claim, resulting in a defense verdict. He also participated in a trial involving multiple fatalities and has defended matters related to products liability, general negligence, medical malpractice, construction defects, and legal malpractice.
A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Mr. Murphey earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics in August 2003. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2007. Licensed to practice in Illinois, Indiana, and Missouri, Mr. Murphey is admitted to the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, the Northern and Southern Districts of Illinois, and the Eastern District of Missouri.
