William "Jeff" Goozee is an associate in the Atlanta Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., where he focuses his practice on all aspects of automotive litigation, specifically with matters involving trucking and commercial transportation. As part of the firm's transportation team, Mr. Goozee brings an in-depth litigation mindset to defending clients in complex insurance claims involving commercial motor vehicles.
Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Goozee served as Associate Counsel at the Board of Veterans' Appeals with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. There, he managed a high-volume docket of appeals involving intricate medical and procedural issues. He evaluated evidence, analyzed hearing testimony, applied statutory and regulatory frameworks, and drafted decisions affecting veterans' disability benefits. His work demanded a nuanced understanding of administrative law and medical-legal causation, particularly concerning service-connected disabilities and employability determinations.
Before his government service, Mr. Goozee represented hundreds of clients in disability claims, guiding evidentiary development and presenting cases in hearings before the Board of Veterans' Appeals. He actively mentored junior attorneys and contributed to veteran-focused initiatives within the department. Earlier in his career, he supported litigation teams in complex commercial disputes and developed a client-centered practice rooted in advocacy, fairness, and accessibility.
Mr. Goozee earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Philosophy and Political Science from the University of Alabama and obtained his Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law. While at Emory, he served as President of the National Security & Military Law Society and competed in the National Veterans Law Moot Court Competition in 2018.
He is admitted to practice in Georgia and is in good standing with the State Bar.
