William R. Ginn serves as Of Counsel from the Reno Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Ginn brings more than two decades of litigation experience to his practice, having served as lead counsel in various complex civil matters before both federal and state courts. His areas of concentration include extensive work in insurance bad faith litigation, commercial disputes, and appellate law. Mr. Ginn has successfully tried cases, argued before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Nevada Supreme Court, and represented clients in proceedings before administrative law judges.
Before joining QPWB, Mr. Ginn practiced for 25 years at a Nevada-based litigation firm where he managed all aspects of case strategy, including trial, motion practice, depositions, and discovery. His reported decisions include significant victories in Seneca Insurance Company v. Strange Land, Inc. and Alps Property & Casualty Ins. v. Kalicki Collier, LLP, among others.
In addition to his trial and appellate work, Mr. Ginn is a published author on insurance law, judicial education, and regulatory compliance, with articles appearing in the Federation of Regulatory Council Journal and the National Association of State Judicial Educators Newsletter. He has also held leadership positions within the State Bar of Nevada, serving on the Insurance and Health Care Section Executive Board and mentoring young attorneys through the Transitioning Into Practice program.
Graduating from Whitworth College in 1999, earning a Bachelor of Arts in History with an emphasis in Philosophy, Mr. Ginn went on to attend Willamette University College of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor. While in law school he received the Butler Scholarship for academic improvement and honors in Pre-Trial Civil Litigation.
Licensed to practice in Nevada and California, Mr. Ginn is admitted to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California.
