Yarelis A. Llerena is an associate in the Tampa office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. She focuses her practice on the representation of employers, self-insured employers, and insurance carriers throughout Florida in workers' compensation claims.
Ms. Llerena received her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law, Gulfport, Florida, in May 2018 and a Bachelor of Science magna cum laude from the University of Florida, graduating with a major in political science and an Associate of Arts in English in December 2014. She served as student president of the Hispanic Bar Association, a volunteer of Pinellas County, Florida's Community Law Program in Pinellas, and member of Public Service Fellows, and received the Victor O. Wehle Trial Advocacy Award.
While in law school, she held a certified legal internship with the St. Petersburg City Attorney's Office aiding with matters involving campaign financing legalities, water and sewage concerns, land use disputes, employment law and first amendment issues. She also held two law clerk positions at regional law firms helping draft land trusts, deeds, health care surrogates, wills and trusts, and legal correspondence.
Ms. Llerena is licensed to practice law in Florida.
She is fluent in Spanish.
