FORT LAUDERDALE, FL - Quintairos, Prieto, Wood, & Boyer, P.A. (QPWB) is thrilled to announce the addition of Salisu "Sal" A. Richardson as a Partner in our Fort Lauderdale office. Richardson is an accomplished trial attorney with an over two-decade-long track record of excellence and brings extensive expertise in complex workers' compensation cases while having a reputation for tenacity and favorable results to the firm.

Sal is renowned for his effective case management, having successfully defended over 425 cases, and acting as lead and sole counsel in over 60 final and evidentiary hearings. He has a robust Statewide practice representing Employers, Insurance Carriers, and Servicing Agents pre-suit through Final Hearing.

“As a Certified Litigation Management Professional (CLMP) with regional and national clients, I would often sit in on National Claims reviews and think to myself how I could assist in the Risk Management of their workers' compensation claims on a larger scale. I’ve had the good fortune to do so in the past, and with QPWB in 19 states and the Virgin Islands and over 400 lawyers in a wide array of practice areas, we will do it again.  Making a financial impact on that level just feels better,” said Richardson.

“QPWB not only has a robust worker's compensation practice and leadership committed to that, but I was pleased to find they were already significantly utilized by many clients in both workers' compensation and other practice areas, who were pleased with their work.  The response was the same across different jurisdictions. That's the biggest reason I'm here, so that can offer my clients the bold, efficient, and effective representation they receive from me in any state where QPWB maintains an office. And if we don’t have one, we will staff it! Lawyering is about service, and I am committed to that, as is the firm.”

Before joining QPWB, Sal was the Managing Partner of the Florida offices of a CA-based firm, where he specialized in workers' compensation defense for more than a decade.

Sal earned his Juris Doctor and a Master of Arts in Real Estate from the University of Florida, also his alma mater for a Bachelor of Science (Finance) with Honors. His commitment to the community is as robust as his legal career. Sal was formerly Chairman of the 4H Association of Broward County, is currently Vice President of the 100 Black Men of Greater Fort Lauderdale and was recently inducted as Board Member (over 10 years) of the TJ Reddick Bar Association.

A recipient of numerous awards and recognitions, Sal's accolades include the Exceptional Defense Attorney Award for Workers' Compensation from IN Touch Magazine (2019) and listings as one of the 50 Most Powerful Black Leaders of Broward County by Legacy Magazine (2014). He is also a proud member of the Executive Council of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Florida Bar.

Sal Richardson is a proven leader and a committed advocate, and we are excited to have him join our team while bringing QPWB further into the national spotlight for Workers’ Compensation and more.
