This marks a significant step forward for the firm’s new LA office, bringing exceptional depth and expertise to the General and Product Liability practice. The outstanding attorneys joining the Los Angeles office are:

• Heidi M. Yoshioka, Partner: Ms. Yoshioka is a Partner in the Los Angeles Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., primarily handling high-exposure cases involving product liability, premises liability, and general liability matters. With more than 25 years of experience, she represents national and international clients across diverse industries, including automotive, vertical transportation, heavy machinery, highway transportation, food products, and hospitality. Notably, Ms. Yoshioka has defended the world’s largest communications company in general and premises liability matters. Her extensive litigation experience includes successfully trying multi-plaintiff automobile, vertical transportation, and premises liability cases to verdict. She also has significant motion practice, having authored and argued numerous successful motions for summary judgment. Additionally, she is highly skilled in deposing expert witnesses, parties, and third-party witnesses.

• S. Candice Shikai, Partner: Ms. Shikai concentrates her practice on defending corporate clients in product liability, premises liability, and complex general liability matters. She has extensive experience representing clients through all stages of litigation, including pre-trial analysis, written discovery, depositions, and motion practice. Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. Shikai worked at law firms defending clients in diverse litigation matters and served as a Fellow with the Office of the Los Angeles City Attorney in the Business & Complex Civil Litigation Section. Ms. Shikai is actively involved in the legal community, holding leadership and membership roles in organizations such as the Japanese American Bar Association (JABA), the Defense Research Institute (DRI), the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA), and the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel (ASCDC).

• Gleam Davis, Of Counsel: Ms. Davis brings over four decades of experience in state and federal court litigation, with a diverse practice spanning general liability, product liability, premises liability, commercial litigation, appellate, labor disputes, personal injury defense, and civil rights litigation. She has extensive first-chair trial, appellate, and arbitration experience, representing clients in complex cases. In addition to her private practice, Ms. Davis dedicated seventeen years to public service, serving as Mayor, City Council Member, and Planning Commissioner in the City of Santa Monica. Her leadership in municipal governance provides her with a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, land use, and public policy. Before joining QPWB, Ms. Davis held a senior leadership position in the legal department of a national wireless carrier and previously served as a Trial Attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division.
