QPWB CONTINUES EXPANSION OF LITIGATION PRACTICE
TAMPA, FL – Albert J. Ferrera and Thomas A. Valdez have rejoined Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. as partners. The firm has also added two associates, Dorothy Venable DiFiore and Thomas W. Caufman. Prior to joining QPWB, attorneys Ferrera and Valdez were founding partners at McCumber, Inclan, P.A. Mr. Ferrera’s practice focuses on insurance defense, nursing home, hospital and medical malpractice litigation. Mr. Valdez represents clients in all aspects of nursing home defense, medical malpractice and general liability claims. He has successfully represented clients in litigation, alternative dispute resolution, trial and appellate matters.
“We are thrilled to have Ferrera and Valdez back. This is an excellent addition to the firm as we continue to expand the breadth of our growing defense practice,” said Eric W. Boyer, firmwide Managing Partner of Operations.
Dorothy Venable DiFiore’s practice includes civil appeals, healthcare and insurance defense, medical malpractice; general, premises and auto liability matters, products liability and general commercial litigation.
Thomas W. Caufman formerly with Gallagher & Howard, P.A., has extensive experience handling matters for healthcare facilities involved with claims of alleged violations on standards of care. Caufman previously handled matters for the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and he brings with him valuable insight in handling defense matters that are presented before healthcare agencies.
The managing partner of QPWB’s Tampa office, Peter Molinelli, added: “QPWB has a very successful healthcare and general liability practice in the southeastern U.S., and I am excited to be a part of that practice and to have an opportunity to work with our new partners and associates.”
