Elevation of tenured human resources leader comes as one of the nation’s fastest-growing law firms expands to 60 offices, more than 650 attorneys and 1,400 employees nationwide
MIAMI, Sept. 1, 2026 — Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. (QPWB), one of the nation’s fastest-growing law firms and the largest minority-owned law firm in the country, today announced that Xiomara I. Alonso, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, has been elevated to Chief Human Resources Officer. In the role, Alonso will lead the firm’s people strategy across its national platform of 60 offices, more than 650 attorneys and approximately 1,400 total team members.
The appointment reflects QPWB’s continued long-held belief that the firm’s culture is its most important asset. A full-service firm supporting more than 130 areas of practice, QPWB has built its national reputation on being DIFFERENT, both in how it serves its clients and in how it supports the people who make that service possible. As Chief Human Resources Officer, Alonso will be charged with carrying that tradition forward as the firm scales.

Alonso joined QPWB in 2025 and has led the firm’s human resources function through one of the most significant growth periods in its history. She brings more than three decades of human resources and operations leadership across professional services, energy, e-commerce and nonprofit organizations. Before joining QPWB, she served as Vice President of Human Resources and Operations at Chapman Partnership, the Miami-based nonprofit that operates temporary housing assistance centers in Miami and Homestead, and spent nine years as Director of Human Resources and Operations at Crius Energy, a multistate retail energy provider. She also founded XLHR Consulting Group, through which she provided fractional HR and operations leadership to organizations across the legal, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing and nonprofit sectors.
Her career began in the legal industry, where she spent 12 years as Legal Administrator for a statewide Florida insurance defense firm, managing operations and opening regional offices in Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Orlando and St. Petersburg. Alonso holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) designations and completed the Chief Human Resources Officer Program through Wharton Executive Education at the University of Pennsylvania.
Alonso’s elevation follows a period of sustained momentum for QPWB, which has expanded its geographic footprint, deepened its bench across practice areas and continued to attract attorneys and professionals drawn to a firm that operates differently than its peers.
