JACKSON, Miss. ― Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., (QPWB) is pleased to announce that Alexander Law, P.A. has joined its diverse team of leaders and problem solvers. In a joint interview, the Managing Partner of QPWB, Eric W. Boyer expressed his enthusiastic pleasure of the nearly seventeen-year-old firm, to join its ranks. The QPWB firm’s Jackson, Mississippi office will be led by former founder and partner of Alexander Law, P.A. Amanda G. Alexander, serving as the firm’s Managing Partner of the Mississippi office. The firm will continue to focus their practice on first-party property claims, premises liability, motor vehicle liability, commercial general liability, insurance defense coverage matters, labor and employment law, worker’s compensation and the representation of employers, self-insured employers and their insurance carriers.

Mrs. Alexander served as founder and managing partner of her civil defense law practice, established in 2005, and the only defense firm of its size led by an African American woman in the state of Mississippi. In such practice, she represented local and state entities and local and national companies in various industries. She was named among the “Top 50 Leading Businesswomen,” “Top 50 Under 40 in Business” by the Mississippi Business Journal and 2021 Inductee of Tougaloo College National Alumni Association Hall of Fame. She has been actively involved in the community both nationally and locally. She has served as Past President of the National Conference of the Women’s Bar Association and on the Executive Committee Member of the Mississippi College Board of Trustees. She is a nominee for the office of President Elect for the Mississippi Bar. For nine years she served as an adjunct professor at Jackson State University, Department of Health Policy & Management, mostly lecturing on medical malpractice, health policies and career development. She received her Juris Doctor from the Mississippi College School of Law, a Bachelor of Arts from Tougaloo College and Master’s in Public Policy Administration from Jackson State University.
