Alyssa R. Illsley is an associate in the Scottsdale, Arizona office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. She focuses her practice in the areas of general liability defense, professional liability, and defends businesses, including restaurants and nightclubs, in civil suits involving negligent security, premises liability, wrongful death, dram shop and liquor liability.
Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. Illsley was an associate with a commercial litigation and construction defense law firm in Arizona. She appeared before the Arizona Office of Administrative Hearings on behalf of contractor clients and negotiated settlements for various types of claims including construction law related claims.
Previously, she served as in-house counsel for a disability advocacy organization where she worked with senior counsel regarding employment issues, and federal and state disability rights laws and appeared in state court on all default hearing proceedings.
Ms. Illsley received her Juris Doctor from Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law in May 2015 and Bachelor of Arts cum laude from Arizona State University graduating with a major in political science and minor in justice studies.
While in law school, she served as an extern student attorney with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, Drug and Racketeering Section where she researched surveillance techniques and the use of cameras on public utility poles, the authentication standards required for admissibility of digital evidence in criminal trials, and she examined the jurisdictional differences in prosecuting criminals for illegal money transmitting businesses.
Ms. Illsley is licensed to practice law in Arizona. She is a member of the State Bar of Arizona and Scottsdale Bar Association.
