Antonio R. Fernandez is an associate in the Louisville office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Fernandez focuses his practice on civil trial litigation involving general torts and insurance defense with an emphasis on breach of contract actions, employment law matters, insurance coverage and bad faith litigation, product liability and premises liability claims. His practice also includes healthcare litigation in the representation of skilled nursing and long term care providers and physicians in the areas of medical malpractice defense, nursing home defense, professional negligence, general liability, and in personal injury actions. Mr. Fernandez represents clients in state and federal courts, in arbitration, appeals, mediation, and in administrative hearings, and negotiating settlement agreements.
In addition to providing legal representation to insurance companies and their insureds in a wide range of practice areas, in both regulatory and private sectors throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Mr. Fernandez’s practice also includes assisting health care professionals with licensure matters including Certificates of Need counseling and process and representing clients in employment-related actions including employment discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and wrongful termination claims.

Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Fernandez worked as an attorney, practicing in all of his current areas of practice with a Louisville insurance defense law firm specializing in high profile jury trials; here, he managed complex liability and claim value analysis and was responsible for leading the defense of several lawsuits across the Commonwealth of Kentucky in both state court and federal court.
Mr. Fernandez received his Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in May 2019 and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Louisville in May 2015, graduating with a major in biology.
Mr. Fernandez is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and is admitted in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky.
He is bilingual and fluent in Spanish.
