Derek A. Goldstein is an associate in the Orlando office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. He concentrates his practice in the areas of insurance defense, first-party property claims stemming from insurance coverage disputes, policy interpretation, and the application of policy exclusions arising from a wide variety of insurance products including general liability, motor vehicle liability, premise liability, negligent security actions, slips and falls, wrongful death actions and other negligence and tort claims.
Mr. Goldstein has represented insureds and insurers since 2016. He has practiced with various insurance defense law firms in Florida where he has primarily handled first party property matters and workers’ compensation defense. His practice has involved conducting depositions of plaintiffs, public adjusters, and experts, participating in mediations, nonbinding arbitrations and trials in various Florida counties including Lee, Collier, Escambia, Miami-Dade, Broward, and Charlotte County. Before transitioning to civil insurance defense practice, Mr. Goldstein was an associate attorney with a criminal defense law office in Lee County, Florida. His experience also includes foreclosure and homeowner association and condominium association litigation.
Mr. Goldstein received his Juris Doctor from Ave Maria School of Law, Naples, Florida in 2014 and Bachelor of Science in legal studies from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2010.
He is licensed to practice law in Florida.
