Dexter Romanez is a partner in the Miami office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A.  He is a trial lawyer with expertise in civil litigation and is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Florida Bar Board of Legal Education and Specialization. Mr. Romanez has over a decade of experience practicing in the areas of insurance defense, insurance coverage, personal injury involving trucking and automobile insurance defense, premise liability, and in matters pertaining to catastrophic injuries, wrongful death and surgical cases.  His practice includes a broad spectrum of representations of the nation’s leading insurance companies, their carriers, insureds, adjusters and their managers to resolve all litigation matters arising from automobile negligence, premise liability involving catastrophic injuries; and in cases relating to multiple surgeries, DUI, wrongful death, and excess exposure matters. Mr. Romanez has extensive experience handing all phases of pretrial claims, hearings, expert and non-expert depositions, mediations, settlement negotiations and jury trials.  

Prior to joining QPWB, he was an attorney at a South Florida insurance defense law firm providing representation to major insurance carriers and their insureds in all matters pertaining to his current areas of practice. 

Mr. Romanez is an approved instructor for adjuster continuing education by the Florida Department of Financial Services and has lectured on trial techniques and strategies to insurance companies and claims professionals throughout Florida.

Since his admission to the Florida Bar in 2004, he has tried and mediated numerous cases with favorable results in all areas of his practice, representing clients in a wide range of matters in both state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration, mediation, and appeals.

Mr. Romanez received his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law, Fort Lauderdale, Florida in December 2003 and Bachelor of Science from Florida International University in December 1999, graduating with a major in communications.

He is licensed to practice law in Florida and is admitted in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the United States Supreme Court.
