Emer Forde is an associate in the New York office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Forde represents insurers and insureds in complex general liability involving all aspects of personal injury litigation and casualty claims, premises liability, product liability, motor vehicle negligence, construction-related claims, labor and employment law matters related to wage and hour, overtime compensation, employment discrimination and workplace harassment, police misconduct, and civil rights defense matters. Ms. Forde defends actions involving bodily injury, slip and fall claims, wrongful death matters and catastrophic injury actions arising from various alleged torts, negligent security, and other negligence and tort claims.
Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. Forde was an attorney and member of the Litigation Unit of the New York City Comptroller’s Office, where she resolved claims filed against the City of New York involving general tort and municipal liability. She attended conferences in state and federal courts managing the settlement of various high exposure lawsuits. Ms. Forde also worked as an attorney with a personal injury law firm in New York City specializing in motor vehicle and premises liability cases.
Ms. Forde is a graduate of the University of Galway in Ireland, where she earned two law degrees, a Bachelor of Corporate Law in 2008 and a Bachelor of Laws in 2009.
Ms. Forde is licensed to practice law in New York. She is also a Solicitor in England and Wales.
