Ms. Fenwick focuses her practice on consumer financial services litigation, representing clients throughout the country. For more than a decade, Ms. Fenwick’s practice has been dedicated to representing financial institutions such as national and state banks, mortgage lenders, servicers and consumer financial service providers in secured creditors’ rights litigation and consumer financial services litigation. Ms. Fenwick is a creative thinker who works in partnership with her clients to provide straightforward and individualized solutions to their legal issues. She works extensively to obtain first-hand knowledge and in-depth familiarity with her client's industry, business needs, and goals. She advises private equity sponsors, borrowers and lenders in the structuring, negotiation and documentation of debt financing transactions, foreclosures and debt restructuring. She has demonstrated success in representing and advocating for clients at the highest level while demonstrating a high level of respect and recognition for their rights.
Ms. Fenwick represents investors, developers, lenders (including banks and institutional investors), sponsors and borrowers in various types of finance and M&A transactions. She oversees a team of litigation attorneys that focuses on contested foreclosure, real estate and title issues, consumer protection and alleged federal and state regulatory violations. She has experience defending claims arising under the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Electronic Funds Transfer Act (EFTA), and Real Estate Settlement Procedure (RESPA). Ms. Fenwick provides guidance to her clients on compliance with state and federal consumer financial laws and regulations.
Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. Fenwick worked at top tier U.S. law firms, advising companies and financial institutions in banking, debt finance, lending, leveraged acquisitions, real estate, finance and general banking. Ms. Fenwick is committed to advancing the communities in which she lives and works and serves as an advocate for diversity and inclusion efforts as the Vice-Chair of the American Bar Association Consumer Financial Services Committee's Diversity and Inclusion Taskforce.
