John P. Keller is a partner in the Miami office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Keller focuses on litigation with a strong emphasis on the representation of insurers and their insureds. For over 30 years he has litigated, arbitrated, and tried a variety of commercial, premises liability, construction defect, and employment discrimination matters in state and federal courts. Mr. Keller has extensive experience in the representation of negligent security and construction related matters and has successfully argued before the state’s appellate courts.
Mr. Keller’s areas of practice and experience also include first-party property claims; insurance fraud litigation and SIU (Special Investigative Unit) matters; automobile insurance defense; commercial trucking; products liability; subrogation claims; ADA and Fair Housing disputes; and insurance coverage and bad faith claims.
Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Keller was a shareholder and name partner of a Miami law office specializing in insurance defense and coverage, subrogation, and construction litigation.
Mr. Keller received his Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law in 1992 and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor in 1989. While in law school, he served as Managing Editor of the University of Miami Inter-American Law Review.
Mr. Keller is licensed to practice law in Florida and is a member of The Florida Bar. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida; the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit; and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar.

An active member of his community, for over 10 years Mr. Keller served on the Board of Directors of the Family Resource Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect through the strengthening of families. In 2006 and 2007 he served as Chairman of the Board of Directors which at the time had 80 employees and an annual budget exceeding $6 million. He currently serves as a member of that organization’s Advisory Board.
