Joseph E. Yalon is a partner in the Los Angeles office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Since 2007, Mr. Yalon has focused his practice on workers’ compensation defense including Labor Code 132(a) violations, claims of serious and willful misconduct, and third party subrogation claims in the representation of self-insured employers, insurance carriers and third party adjusting agencies and before Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board throughout California.
Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Yalon was an attorney with a Glendale, California law firm specializing in Workers’ Compensation Defense. He has also focused on labor and employment matters representing public sector employees in administrative investigations, hearings, and civil litigation. Mr. Yalon commenced private law practice in 2006, representing plaintiffs in workers’ compensation and personal injury claims.
Mr. Yalon received his Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of La Verne College of Law, Ontario, California in 2006 and Bachelor of Arts in political science from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in 2003. Mr. Yalon graduated from law school with honors and served on the Law Review staff as a senior writer.
