J. Kevin Thompson is a partner in the Dallas office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. He has 30 years of legal experience with ample first-chair trial experience at the state and federal court levels and over 500 workers’ compensation administrative trials. Since 1987 Mr. Thompson has focused his practice on workers’ compensation and non-subscriber defense, automobile liability claims, construction claims, products liability, premises liability, contract claims, and insurance coverage litigation.
He has attained the highest peer review rating of AV-Preeminent from Martindale Hubbell Law Directory which he has held consecutively since 2002.
Mr. Thompson received his Juris Doctor from SMU School of Law in Dallas, Texas in 1987 and Bachelor of Arts from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas in 1984.
Mr. Thompson is licensed to practice law in Texas and is admitted in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas; and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
He has received a 10-hour OSHA Certification from the Department of Labor.
Mr. Thompson served as editor of the Worker’s Compensation Newsletter for the Texas Association of Defense Counsel from 2003-2007. He is a frequent lecturer and speaker at professional organizations and has made several in-house presentations for insurance clients and third party administrators for continuing education credits.
