Laura P. Buitrago is an associate in the Miami office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., focusing her practice on defending architects, engineers, design professionals, general contractors and sub-contractors, and land surveyors in construction litigation claims and in allegation involving design defects and omissions, faulty or defective material specification, delay of claims, and professional negligence. Ms. Buitrago represents businesses in negligence matters, breach of contract and breach of building code claims; her practice also includes insurance and general liability defense, premises liability, negligent security, first party property insurance defense, product liability, automobile negligence and personal injury protection (PIP) claims.
Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. Buitrago managed day-to-day operations of complex construction litigation cases as an associate attorney with a Miami civil litigation law firm. She appeared in hearings, argued substantive motions, conferred with experts, and prepared depositions, she also participated in a multimillion dollar lawsuit which resulted in a summary final judgment. Previously, Ms. Buitrago also worked as an associate with a Fort Lauderdale law firm where she handled the defense of personal injury cases.
Ms. Buitrago received her Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law in December 2016 and a Bachelor of Science in Finance and International Business from Florida International University in August 2014. While in law school, she served as president of the Business Law Society.
