William P. Sewell is an associate in the Orlando office at Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Sewell focuses his practice on construction defect litigation and general civil defense. He represents contractors, suppliers, homeowners, and other parties in construction defect claims and ensures the execution of construction lien law enforcement, bond claims, and regulatory compliance. Mr. Sewell’s practice is also emphasized in the areas of first party property insurance defense litigation involving insurance coverage disputes and investigations in sinkhole claims, premises liability and negligent security matters, and commercial automobile liability.

Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Sewell was an associate attorney with a large insurance defense law firm in Orlando, Florida where he defended large caseloads of first party property cases from pre-litigation through resolution of suit; his practice comprised of working with third party vendors to procure expert opinions on claimed damages, he handled settlement documentation and proposals for settlement.

Mr. Sewell received his Juris Doctor with a Certificate in Intellectual Property from Florida International University College of Law in May 2020, a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Florida International University in May 2009. During law school, he received the CALI Award in Negotiations and served as senior associate editor of the African Journal of Legal Studies; and for two consecutive summers, clerked with a large Florida insurance defense law firm reviewing medical and insurance records utilized in litigation reports to clients. Mr. Sewell also drafted responses to motions on tort law, defamation, personal injury, Daubert motion in limine; and attended trials, depositions, and motion hearings.

He is licensed to practice law in Florida.
