The Charlotte office will be led by Susan H. Briggs, Managing Partner, who brings a wealth of experience and expertise in workplace safety and employment law. While her skill is vast, her difference-making ability is truly what sets her apart. Outside of being a board-certified specialist in workers' compensation, Susan is a highly sought-after speaker and a proud member of the Lumbee Tribe of Native Americans. She has been recognized time and time again for her work and is featured on many "top" and "best of" lists including being named to The Best Lawyers in America® since 2012 in the field of Workers' Compensation Law - Employers.

Joining Susan in the Charlotte office is Amanda S. Smiley, who will serve as a partner to the firm. Amanda's extensive legal background and commitment to client success make her an invaluable addition to the QPWB team. She is also a frequent lecturer on workers' compensation in North Carolina and most recently made the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America since 2021:  also in the field of Workers' Compensation Law - Employers.
